Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
World Boxing Together Limited ("WBT", "we", "us") operates the platform available at worldboxingtogether.com.
We are the data controller responsible for your personal data:
- World Boxing Together Limited
- 56 Leman Street, London, England, E1 8EU, United Kingdom
- Company number: 15527886
For any privacy-related enquiry, contact us at: privacy@worldboxingtogether.com
2. How data reaches WBT
Sign-in, account management and identity data are handled by Talent Drive Sports Limited ("TDS"), the identity provider for the Talent Drive Sports network of sport platforms. WBT never sees your password and does not collect your credentials directly.
When you sign in to WBT, TDS shares the data needed to identify you and your child profile(s):
- Full name (yours)
- Email address
- For each child profile registered for boxing: first name, last name, date of birth, gender, nationality, selected sports
This data is replicated to WBT for reference and to power the boxing-specific features below. It is read-only on WBT — to update it, you edit it on your TDS profile and the change is reflected here at your next sign-in. See the Talent Drive Sports Privacy Policy for how TDS collects and processes that identity data upstream.
In addition, when you use WBT directly we collect:
- Tournament registration history (which child registered for which event, with what status)
- Payment information — processed by Stripe; we do not store card details, only a Stripe payment reference
- Ranking data calculated from your child's tournament results
- Acceptance of these Terms of Use (timestamp and version) for legal traceability
If you use our contact form, we also collect your name, email address and message. This information is transmitted to our team by email and is not stored in our database.
We do not collect data beyond what is strictly necessary to provide our services. We do not use cookies, trackers or analytics tools other than the session cookie required to keep you signed in.
3. How we use your data
We process your data only for the following purposes, each on a specific legal basis under Article 6 of the GDPR:
- Granting access to the WBT platform and storing your tournament data — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
- Processing tournament registrations and payments — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
- Sending transactional emails (registration confirmation, cancellation, event reminders) — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
- Calculating and publishing world rankings — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): sporting integrity and transparency
- Complying with our legal obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Receiving identity data from Talent Drive Sports under our identity provider arrangement is governed by Article 6(1)(b) — performance of a contract — and Article 8 GDPR (children under 16) where applicable.
4. Data retention
Your personal data is retained for the duration of your relationship with WBT, and for a maximum of 3 years following your last activity on the platform.
You may close your WBT profile at any time from your profile page. When you do so, the personal information replicated locally on WBT (name, date of birth, gender, nationality) is anonymised immediately and permanently on the WBT side — it cannot be restored. This action does not delete your underlying Talent Drive Sports account: to close that account as well, you must do so from talentdrivesports.com (subject to the TDS Privacy Policy and Terms).
Tournament registration records and ranking data are retained in anonymised form for statistical and sporting integrity purposes. These records contain no information that can identify you.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict processing of your data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured format
- Object to processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at: privacy@worldboxingtogether.com. We will respond within one month of receiving your request, as required by Article 12 of the GDPR. This period may be extended by a further two months where necessary, in which case we will inform you of the reason for the delay.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. If you are based in the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) (opens in new tab). If you are based in the European Union, you may contact the supervisory authority of your country of residence (e.g. CNIL in France, BfDI in Germany, AEPD in Spain). A full list is available at edpb.europa.eu (opens in new tab).
6. Children's data
The WBT platform is designed for junior boxers aged 18 and under (categories U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18). Minors do not create accounts themselves. Only a parent or legal guardian may register an account and create a child's profile on their behalf.
The personal data of a child (first name, last name, date of birth, gender, nationality and competition history) is collected and processed solely on the basis of the contract entered into with the parent or legal guardian (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR / UK GDPR). We do not use children's data for any marketing, profiling or advertising purpose.
Parents and legal guardians may at any time access, correct or request the deletion of their child's profile directly from their account, or by contacting us at privacy@worldboxingtogether.com.
7. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies for authentication (session management). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
8. Third-party processors and partners
We share data only with the following processors and partners, strictly for the purposes described above:
- Talent Drive Sports Limited — identity provider and data source. When you sign in to WBT, TDS provides us with the identity and profile data described in section 2. TDS is a separate data controller for that upstream identity data; processing on the TDS side is governed by the Talent Drive Sports Privacy Policy (opens in new tab).
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing for tournament fees. Stripe is based in the United States; data transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) under Article 46 GDPR. See stripe.com/privacy (opens in new tab) and stripe.com/legal/dpa (opens in new tab).
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) — transactional email delivery (registration confirmation, cancellation, event reminders) and contact-form handling. Brevo is based in France (EU). See brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy (opens in new tab).
- OVHcloud — server hosting. OVHcloud is based in France (EU); all WBT data is stored and processed within the European Union. See ovhcloud.com/personal-data-protection (opens in new tab).
No other third parties have access to your personal data. We do not use any advertising networks or analytics services.
9. International users
The Platform is open to participants worldwide. Regardless of where you are located, we apply the standards of the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR to all users we target.
Your personal data is stored and processed on servers located in the European Union (OVHcloud, France). If you access the Platform from outside the EU or the UK, your data is transferred to and processed within the EU, which provides an adequate level of data protection.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice on the platform.
